Does ESS ever install underground utilities as a stand-alone service?
Yes, we can bid specifically for underground utilities as the prime contractor. We do that work as a compliment to our other disciplines or just as a subcontractor in some cases.

What kinds of training and certifications do employees in your utilities division hold?
Most all of our crew members are OSHA trained as a competent person and trained in trench safety and confined space entry.

Does ESS ever install communications utilities like fiberoptics or phone lines?
No, we primarily are focused on “wet utilities” such as sewer and water as well as some “dry utilities” such as electrical conduits and natural gas distribution.

We provide utilities services for all of the markets we serve in the Midwest.

Will you come to my house and fix my plumbing problem?
Nope — you’ll need to call your local handy person for that. Our crews are geared more toward larger commercial and municipal projects.
