Meet Our New Assistant VP of Finance
As a part of the Corporate Resources Branch strategic succession planning, we are excited to announce the promotion of Nathan Alexander to Assistant Vice President of Finance. Alexander will report to Dan Hoover, Executive Vice President of Finance and serve on the Operational Management Team (OMT).
Alexander will play an instrumental role in key initiatives that will support the continued growth of Emery Sapp & Sons (ESS) and it’s family of companies. He will be responsible for managing corporate financial functions including financial accounting, reporting, and analysis as well as equipment costing and utilization. Nathan will also support our employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) strategy and our growing property and casualty insurance programs.
Dan Hoover said: “I’ve been impressed by Nathan’s commitment to his trade, team and ESS as a whole. Nathan’s promotion reflects our commitment to invest in our future capabilities. I believe building a best-in-class business is imperative for our employee-owners and Nathan’s actions are a testament of those efforts in action.”
Before joining the ESS team as Controller in 2016, Alexander held roles as Controller for Mission Builder Service and a Senior Accountant for Public Accounting firm. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri. He is also an active member of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) Ozark Chapter.
Alexander lives in Ashland, Missouri with his wife Rachael and his two-year-old twin boys, Brooks and Beckett. He is an avid outdoorsman who knows a thing or two about hooking a prize-winning fish and taking down a big buck. Just don’t ask him what he “caught” – that’s a question he can’t get behind.
