  • On average, how long do employees work at ESS?

    Hundreds of employee-owners have spent their entire careers with ESS. The average field manager has more than 10 years of experience under their belt as a member of our team!

  • Do overtime opportunities exist at your company?

    Yes. Overtime opportunities are available. Specific overtime availability and rates vary by project, crew, and job responsibilities.

  • Will I be expected to travel or relocate for projects?

    It depends on your role. Many crews work within a specific metro. However, some routinely travel throughout the Midwest. Roles that require full-time travel, such as our diamond grinding operations, are clearly stated on the job posting. We offer a fair daily per diem rate for those that travel for work.

  • Are you a union or non-union company?

    Our employee-owners have chosen to remain a merit shop. That means we operate as a non-union contractor.

  • Do I have to join the ESOP as an employee at ESS?

    All employee-owners are automatically enrolled into the ESOP. But this is a good thing–no paperwork, no hoops to jump through–just start earning. Learn more here.
