2025 Supervisor Summit: Leveling up leadership

The 2025 ESS Supervisor Summit didn’t just raise the bar — it crushed it. For two high-energy days, we packed in everything our leaders need to keep leveling up their teams: knowledge, tools, real-world advice and a whole lot of grit. 

Real talk, real tools, real results

We hit the ground running Thursday with hard-hitting insights from keynote speaker JP Dinnell, former U.S. Navy SEAL and chief training officer for Echelon Front. A leader of the most highly decorated special operations unit of the Iraq War, Dinnell shared inspirational stories and real tools for our leaders to use as they overcome obstacles and guide their teams to success. 

We also recognized some heavy hitters within our own ranks. Kudos to the winner of the Lance Trager Safety Award and our Safety Team of the Year! Their dedication and commitment to living every second safely is key to our future success.  

Friday featured four powerful breakouts that focused on key areas of leadership, from safety to finance. Top-tier speakers provided insights and lessons for our leaders to bring back to their teams. Sessions drove home the importance of using vulnerability as a strength, making safety stick and getting real about our ESOP

Dinnell closed things out by sharing his own raw, personal experiences. He showed us that leadership is about more than just giving orders – it’s about clear communication, taking decisive action and fostering confidence and shared ownership of the ultimate goal. 

Leadership never stops

We wrapped up the Summit with a sense of purpose and a renewed drive as we head into 2025. We equipped our supervisors with tools to grow, take action and continue developing the next generation. The work doesn’t stop here. 

Kudos to all the leaders who showed up, gave it their all and are ready to take on whatever comes next. We’re just getting started.
