Hutchens Construction, an Emery Sapp & Sons company, was awarded the pavement rehabilitation contract for the 5.4 mile Will Rogers Turnpike in Ottawa County, Oklahoma. Our teams were able to secure the largest project on their 2021 backlog by bidding an aggressive fast-tracked schedule of completion by 10 days. Employee-owners are projected to lay 28,277 tons of Superpave S4 asphalt in just 55 days. By using Superpave S4 mix we will provide a longer life cycle of pavement for the Turnpike Commission on a high traffic roadway.

Scope of Work
Our expert team of employee-owners will be milling and overlaying 5.6 miles of asphalt. In just 55 days we will be replacing the top 2 inches of asphalt surface with Superpave S4 mix, which has a longer projected life cycle. Chosen for its durability, Superpave S4 has been a go-to for our asphalt teams.
