Scope of Work
This three-mile long project widened Highway US-59 from two to four lanes and included the demolition and reconstruction of two bridges. Earthwork consisted of 400,000 CY of rock blasting, 350,000 CY, unclassified excavation, and 148,000 SY of lime stabilization. During construction, ESS developed a value engineering (VE) alternative to eliminate a deep box culvert. Our teams replaced it with a more effective drainage design that accelerated the schedule and resulted in cost savings.
