The City of Columbia needed reconstruction and improvements of Taxiway A at the Columbia Regional Airport, as well as emergency repairs. With only 85 days allowed for the project, Emery Sapp & Sons were chosen as the general contractor for our ability to fast-track the construction process. The project was substantially completed and the runway opened on day 54, a full month before schedule.

Scope of Work
This project consisted of removing and replacing 1,500 linear feet of concrete piping, 35,000 cubic yards of material excavation, and nearly 46,000 square yards of concrete paving to complete the taxiway.
