Project OverviewDescripción del proyecto
The City of Branson selected Emery Sapp & Sons (ESS) to revitalize its historic downtown district with major improvements to the local infrastructure and streetscape. As the general contractor, ESS will fully reconstruct the city’s iconic Main Street from Veterans Boulevard to Sycamore Street, enhancing its functionality while preserving the charm that defines downtown Branson.
A key focus for the project team is to promote the pedestrian environment and visual appeal. Upon completion, ESS will deliver 4,787 square yards of new concrete pavement and 1,146 square yards of concrete sidewalk. The streetscape will also feature 1,183 linear feet of new curb and gutter and 510 square yards of decorative brick walkways, contributing to a cohesive and inviting downtown atmosphere.
The most unique feature of this project includes the installation of a color-changing, criss-crossing, RGB string lighting fixture above the roadway — a first-of-its-kind installation for both ESS and Branson. Crews will then use a 19-foot by 23-foot metal stamp to embed a cursive “B” into the concrete, further enhancing the city streetscape. A new gateway sign reading “Historic Downtown Branson,” along with decorative handrails, landscaping and irrigation, will further define the revitalized corridor.
In addition to reconstructing the roadway, crews are also installing roadway lighting, temporary erosion control, landscaping, signage and other miscellaneous work. Despite challenges like maintaining business access and public satisfaction, executing complex features and navigating weather-related delays, ESS is committed to delivering a streetscape that the City and Branson community will be proud of.
Upon completion in Fall 2025, ESS will deliver 3,800 cubic yards of earthwork, 1,432 linear feet of underground utilities and 4,787 square yards of concrete pavement. With thoughtful design and a deep respect for the city’s historic character, this transformative project will support the growth and prosperity of Branson for years to come.
