Project Overview

Emery Sapp & Sons (ESS) successfully delivered a comprehensive infrastructure improvement project for the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT), enhancing more than 53 miles of roadway across Gasconade and Osage Counties. The completed work included full‑depth pavement repairs, resurfacing, and safety upgrades designed to improve long‑term durability and strengthen critical regional transportation corridors.

As part of the project, ESS cold‑milled and resurfaced nearly 35 miles of Route 50, stretching from west of Linn to east of Rosebud, and more than 17 miles of Route 19, spanning from Route 50 to the Crawford County line. Following pavement rehabilitation, ESS constructed and installed a new signalized intersection at Route CC in Linn, improving traffic flow, safety, and community accessibility.

Throughout construction, ESS maintained a strong emphasis on communication and risk mitigation through weekly all‑crew meetings, site‑specific safety briefings, and direct daily coordination among the project team, clients, and partners.

By project completion in fall 2025, ESS had delivered 590,000 square yards of milling, 135,000 tons of asphalt paving, 7,000 cubic yards of grading and excavation, and 4,000 square yards of concrete paving and full‑depth patching. These improvements collectively enhance regional mobility, support safer travel, and extend the lifespan of Missouri’s transportation infrastructure.
