Project Overview

Following a fuel hydrant system replacement, Emery Sapp & Sons (ESS) was chosen to construct an 18-inch concrete pavement in-fill for a concrete apron. In the design-build process, 18-inch concrete was selected to withstand the impact of aircraft loads and mitigate the need for repair. The Army Corps of Engineers held stringent specifications on the project. ESS performed erosion control, earthwork, underground utilities, concrete paving, topsoil, and seeding as well as constructing concrete retaining walls and modular block retaining walls.

Upon completion, ESS delivered 33,806 square yards of concrete pavement and 5,163 cubic yards of grading and excavation.
