Project OverviewDescripción del proyecto

The Garrett Rd Extension & Mt. Hebron Park project is a significant addition to the city of Rogers, Arkansas. Emery Sapp & Sons (ESS) was honored to be named as General Contractor for the $10 million project. Mt. Hebron Park is the first major park on the west side of town. This road extension not only enhanced the convenience of transportation, but it also boosted local economies by creating recreational access for the surrounding communities.

Along with the extension of the roadways, this 75 acre project included concrete and asphalt paving, constructing a roundabout, performing all earthwork for the entire site, and the placement of precast culverts. In total, the completed project consists of one baseball field, two soccer fields, six pickleball courts, two basketball courts, a community building, a maintenance building, restrooms, splash pad, playground, and a dog park.

Along with multiple different crews, the job site also had upwards of ten pieces of equipment at any given time. Maintaining the ease of transportation and safety among all crew members was of the utmost priority. This is evident in the fact that out of the 29,390 man hours, there were no lost time incidents on the project.

The Garrett Rd Extension & Mt. Hebron Park project was completed in December of 2022. In total, ESS crews moved 150,000 cubic yards of dirt and placed 3,700 cubic yards of concrete. This project was recognized by the Arkansas chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors in 2023 with the Excellence in Construction award.
