Hunt Midwest launched the Business Park development to expand the industrial and commercial footprint in northern Kansas City. Today, the sprawling site is home to a growing number of warehouses and office facilities. Tenants benefit from immediate access to major transportation hubs, highways, and a large local labor force—making the park a prime location for logistics, e-commerce, manufacturing, and distribution operations in the Kansas City region. Ongoing demand for industrial space continues to drive expansion within the Business Park.

Maintaining a long-term partnership with Hunt Midwest, Emery Sapp & Sons (ESS) provided preconstruction services and delivered the infrastructure foundation for the park’s 7th Plat. Construction began in late November 2022 and included 1,500 linear feet of sanitary sewer installation and more than 2.8 million cubic yards of grading and excavation to prepare the site for four future warehouse structures.

Throughout the project, ESS worked collaboratively with a third-party roadway contractor and multiple subcontractors to ensure a safe and efficient work environment. Proactive planning and careful sequencing allowed all partners—each operating a high volume of heavy equipment—to safely navigate steep slopes and active haul routes across the expansive site.

ESS successfully completed construction in November 2023, marking another milestone in our ongoing relationship with Hunt Midwest and our continued role in shaping Kansas City’s industrial growth.
