Old Hawthorne North

Project Overview

The Community of Old Hawthorne is a private residential golf community located east of downtown Columbia, Missouri, along Highway WW. ESS served as the general contractor for complete site development of a 106-acre, 158-lot phase within the larger 600+ acre master-planned community, which features an 18-hole championship golf course, nearly 400 single-family custom home sites, and a neighborhood commercial area.

In true employee-owner fashion, ESS delivered this portion of the project from the ground up, performing all excavation and grading, installing water and sewer infrastructure, and constructing stormwater features before paving streets, sidewalks, cart paths, and parking areas. For this phase, the final scope included approximately 75,000 cubic yards of excavation, 115,456 square yards of concrete paving, and over 124,000 linear feet of combined underground utilities, resulting in a fully integrated, build-ready environment for custom luxury homes.
