Emery Sapp & Sons (ESS) was awarded the complete grading and utilities site package for 56 Commerce Building A, a facility part of an industrial master development by The OPUS Group. Completed in just 8 months, the 230,000 square foot industrial building expanded the industrial corridor in Olathe, Kansas, and features 32’ clear height, front parking, and rear truck court.

ESS was contracted to provide turn-key civil construction services for both the private and public infrastructure packages for this project. The teams performed all of the site grading, constructed the building pad in under 30 days, and installed a complete system of water, storm, and sanitary utilities. Working within an aggressive timeline planned for the project, ESS developed a collaborative approach that allowed teams to work synergistically with the city and OPUS to maximize each day of production and accelerate the construction timeline.
