Project OverviewDescripción del proyecto
The city of Columbia was seeking reconstruction and improvements of Taxiway A at the Columbia Regional Airport, as well as emergency repairs. With only 85 days allowed for the project, Emery Sapp & Sons was chosen as the general contractor for their ability to fast-track the construction process. The project was substantially completed and the runway opened on day 54, a full month before schedule.
This project consisted of removing and replacing 1,500 linear feet of concrete piping, 35,000 cubic yards of material excavation, and nearly 46,000 square yards of concrete paving to complete the taxiway.
