Emery Sapp & Sons, Premier Testing Laboratories Expand Footprint with New Joplin Facility

Emery Sapp & Sons (ESS) and Premier Testing Laboratories (PTL) announced their new joint location at 7389 E. Newman Road in Joplin, Missouri. 

The ribbon-cutting ceremony held March 8, 2024 marked a significant milestone in the company’s continued growth and commitment to the Southwest Missouri region. Thirty local leaders, including representatives from the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce and the City of Joplin, were in attendance at the grand opening celebration.

Strategically combined to cater to the industry’s needs, the new office and testing facility reflect both companies’ dedication to growing their Joplin presence while enhancing operational efficiency. With this expansion, they aim to streamline operations and gain project efficiencies to better serve clients and contribute to the region’s infrastructure development. 

“We’ve been in Joplin since 2013, but this new space will help us build a permanent foothold in the region,” said Brandon Finn, executive vice president of asphalt operations at ESS. “The joint location with Premier Testing Laboratories will only continue to enhance what we have to offer.”

The investment by ESS and PTL in the Joplin facility aligns with their long-term strategy to expand their geographic footprint in the four-state region. This is the first laboratory expansion for PTL, which is headquartered in Hannibal, Missouri, and the eighth office for ESS, which has locations in both Missouri and Arkansas.
