Billy Sapp founded Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. (ESS) in 1972 and grew ESS from 1 employee and 1 piece of equipment in Columbia, Missouri, to more than 1,400 employees across the country. 

Billy embodies ESS’ commitment to building and investing in our employee owners, industry and community relationships, innovation, reserves and profitability, and cultivating our tradition of doing things the “ESS Way”. He works tirelessly to provide the best experience for employees and our clients.
