Project Overview
Emery Sapp & Sons (ESS) delivered major roadway improvements along four miles of Rogers County Highway 20, performing more than 2,200,000 cubic yards of mass grading and constructing durable concrete pavement to support long-term corridor performance. To safely move material across an active highway without disrupting traffic, ESS developed and implemented an owner-approved temporary haul bridge following award, eliminating at-grade crossings and separating construction traffic from the traveling public. This grade-separated haul strategy removed thousands of potential conflict points, significantly enhancing Maintenance of Traffic safety. The approach enabled continuous, high-volume hauling while improving productivity. Upon completion, ESS paved 147,000 square yards of concrete, installed 12,458 linear feet of storm pipe and box culverts, and placed 14,500 linear feet of pavement edge drain.
