Building Safer Communities: Emery Sapp & Sons Brings Lifesaving Tools to Branson
This year, Emery Sapp & Sons (ESS) is proud to partner with the American Heart Association to help Elevate Branson, a local nonprofit serving families across the Branson area, prepare for one of the most critical emergencies anyone can face: sudden cardiac arrest. We’re putting two CPR kits, one AED with a two-year maintenance plan, and Heartsaver-credentialed CPR and first aid training into the hands of Elevate Branson.
Immediate CPR and access to an automated external defibrillator (AED) can double or even triple a person’s odds of survival.
“Seconds matter when sudden cardiac arrest occurs,” said Sami Hess, Development Director, American Heart Association. “By ensuring people in our community have access to AEDs and the confidence to use them, we can empower bystanders to take immediate action in an emergency and help save lives.”
That statistic is exactly why the American Heart Association works to put lifesaving tools directly into the hands of everyday people — and why we wanted to be part of making that happen locally.
About Elevate Branson
Elevate Branson has spent years helping individuals and families in the Branson community build long-term stability, through job training, housing support, and programs designed to break the cycle of poverty.
Being 100% employee-owned means protecting our people is part of how we operate every single day — on the job, in the field, and in the communities where we live and work.
“More than 15% of out-of-hospital cardiac arrests happen in public places, so the person best positioned to help is often someone who just happened to be nearby,” said Sami. The AHA offers resources for individuals and organizations alike, including guidance on building a Cardiac Emergency Response Plan for any workplace, school, or community group.
