Silver Dollar City Attractions has selected Emery Sapp & Sons (ESS) as the civil contractor for the new Silver Dollar City Resort, a landmark project located in Branson, Missouri. Spanning 1,200 acres, this premier development will be home to the Midwest’s first-ever theme park resort. The project will unfold over multiple phases just west of the 65-year-old Silver Dollar City theme park, with a 7-story, 262-room resort overlooking Table Rock Lake.

ESS began work in August 2024 and the scope of the project is evolving as construction progresses. So far, ESS crews have completed an impressive 24 acres of clearing, 500,000 cubic yards of earthwork, 10,000 tons of rock crushing, and installed 2,100 linear feet of underground utilities with 23 storm sewage structures. Upcoming work includes grading, storm and retaining wall construction, with expectations for base rock installation, concrete and asphalt paving, and additional site utility work.

The steep slopes of the site pose a challenge in clearing and grading operations. ESS has employed innovative approaches, including retaining walls and specialized grading equipment specifically designed for steep terrain. These solutions provide enhanced traction and stability, ensuring both progress and safety throughout the project. The building pad will be complete in March 2025 and the duration for the entire project site is estimated at around 18 months. The new Silver Dollar City Resort will fully open in late 2026.
