Project OverviewDescripción del proyecto

Commencing in March 2023, ESS undertook the task of constructing two temporary access roads and all earthwork necessary for the replacement of bridges 102.9 and 105.0 over the Neosho River, serving the Burlington Northern Railroad and Santa Fe Railway (BNSF). Positioned west of Neosho Rapids, the bridges became operational by the summer of 2024. Serving as a subcontractor, ESS was responsible for clearing 22 acres of land as well as completing all earthwork, grading, subballast, and erosion control.

One of the notable project challenges was the insufficient dirt available for the embankment construction at both bridge sites. ESS worked in tandem with local landowners to acquire the necessary dirt and transport it to the project site. Coordinating the logistics of numerous truck movements to avoid disrupting BNSF's operating schedule necessitated a concerted team effort.

ESS, in conjunction with the entire project team, completed the project without any lost-time incidents. Not only was the project finished on schedule, but it was also executed under budget.
