Project OverviewDescripción del proyecto

Emery Sapp & Sons (ESS) was contracted by the City of Joplin to conduct a full depth reconstruction and widening of 32nd Street. This $8 million dollar project consists of expanding the street to a three-lane curb and gutter from Central City Rd to Schifferdecker Ave, which is approximately 9,200 linear feet. This roadway was becoming unsafe, deteriorating, and getting busier by the day. This project came with its fair share of challenges, but our crews stepped up to the plate to make sure our work was executed safely and quickly. One of the many challenges included working around steep slopes on the jobsite. Our team took the necessary precautions to ensure safety was at the forefront through the entire project. The scope of work of this project consists of grading and excavation, underground utilities, as well as concrete and asphalt paving. The widening of 32nd Street significantly reduces congestion while enhancing the overall safety of the public.
