Building upon our long-term partnership, Tompkins Homes & Development Inc. awarded Emery Sapp & Sons (ESS) the site package for Breckenridge Park Plat 1, a 74-lot subdivision on the west side of Columbia, Missouri.
While ESS advanced production, crews encountered various environmental and geological challenges common for developments of this size. ESS drew from its deep experience and understanding of the local geology and worked collaboratively with the owner to develop solutions. This kept the project schedule on track.
ESS delivered turnkey infrastructure services for Plat 1. In total, ESS moved 297,000 cubic yards of material. This included pre-grading 59 lots for the adjacent plat. Additionally, ESS cleared an impressive 90.8 acres, poured 12,000 square yards of 6″ concrete, 5,350 square yards of 7″ concrete, and 14,090 square feet of sidewalk. ESS also installed a combined 19,120 linear feet of storm, sanitary, and water utilities with 108 storm and sanitary structures, and excavated 7,900 linear feet of electrical trenching.
ESS delivered the project within just 12 months as promised — on time and under budget. We’re excited to see this development take shape and enhance the Columbia community where so many of our employee-owners live, work, and play.
