Project OverviewDescripción del proyecto

The traveling public of Wentzville, Missouri is soon to experience a massive improvement in their daily commute. Emery Sapp & Sons (ESS) was selected as the general contractor by the City of Wentzville for the David Hoekel Parkway Phase 2D construction project. When complete, this 5,500 linear-foot parkway will create direct access to Interstate 70 between Goodfellow and West Meyer Road, eliminating congestion for countless members of the community.

The mile-long project will serve as the second phase of an ongoing bypass around the west side of Wentzville. Traffic from neighboring subdivisions will join David Hoekel Parkway through four access points, each relieving strain from the city’s infrastructure. Despite the obstacles presented when working near residential areas, the location of this jobsite has allowed our crew to build a positive relationship with neighbors and city representatives. ESS is committed to improving the community of Wentzville while limiting disruption to its citizens’ daily lives.

ESS will complete mass grading and excavation to remove more than 50,000 cubic yards of dirt from the 15-acre jobsite. Underground utility installations will include 4,450 linear feet of Reinforced Concrete Pipe (RCP), 63 storm and sanitary precast structures, and the relocation of 340 existing sewers. Crews will then pour 6,500 cubic yards of concrete spanning 22,000 square yards. The final steps include placing 38,250 square feet of sidewalks and installing 29 ADA-standard ramps. ESS looks forward to pursuing future opportunities with our partners at the City of Wentzville.
