5th Annual ESS Foundation Golf Classic
For the fifth year in a row, hundreds of golfers came together to support the ESS Foundation at our Annual Golf Classic. The ESS Foundation is the charitable arm of Emery Sapp & Sons (ESS) in which all funds raised go towards developing the future workforce in the construction industry. The mission of the Foundation is to promote careers in construction; provide career opportunities through education, mentorship, and training programs; and benefit community development projects throughout our region. In 2022, the ESS Foundation awarded 40 different scholarships worth a total of $60,000 to carry out this mission.
At this year’s 5th Annual Golf Classic, the support from individuals within the industry was unmatched. With two sold-out flights and sponsorships, we were able to raise a significant amount of money for student scholarships. The ESS Foundation awarded the first-ever Justin Gay Memorial Scholarship, which was presented to Alli-Nicole Miller at the tournament. Alli-Nicole is a Job Cost Analysis intern for ESS in the Columbia office.
Congratulations, Alli-Nicole, for receiving this scholarship and continuing Justin’s legacy with your passion for the construction industry. This is a big honor and we could not be more proud! Creating opportunities for dedicated students like you is why we play.
