We are excited to welcome Jessica Ashe to our Corporate Resources team! Jessica will serve as our new Director of Human Resources. This new addition will help bolster our Corporate Resources leadership bench with an abundance of experience and knowledge.

It’s vital that our operational support teams deliver and serve as best-in-class resources. As our new Director of Human Resources, Jessica will fill a leadership role that will help strengthen our essential business functions, elevate the employee experience, and amplify the ESS brand.
One of the most essential parts of any business is its human resources team. The same is true at ESS. By design, our human resources team is aimed to fully support our field operations. They are focused on making sure our employee-owner experience is best-in-class. Amy Allen, Chief Administrative Officer & General Counsel stated, “ESS’ success is defined by our people. Our employee-owners are the reason behind the sentiment we so often use, ‘best-in-class.’ Our goal is to recruit and retain top talent. To do that, we need to invest in people who can make that happen. Jessica Ashe has the experience and background to do just that.”

Director of Human Resources
Jessica joins us from Ferrellgas, where she spent the last eight years of her career. Ferrellgas is a nationwide propane supplier, refill and delivery operation. In her most recent role, Jessica served as the Director of Human Resources for the firm’s 4,500 employee-owners. Her previous roles at Ferrellgas include HRIS Analyst, Benefits Manager, and Director of Benefits, HRIS & Staffing. ESS will benefit from Jessica’s expansive experience within all areas of human resources including talent development and Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs).
Jessica will report directly to Amy Allen, Chief Administrative Office & General Counsel. In her role as Director of Human Resources for ESS, Jessica will be responsible for preserving our unique culture, elevating the employee-owner experience, implementing our new HRIS system, and taking our talent development and retention program to new heights.
Karen Butcher, Benefits Manager and Rebecca Allen, Human Resources Manager report to Jessica Ashe. Collectively, their teams manage all corporate benefits, HR compliance, on-boarding, performance management, retention, and professional development.
Jessica is passionate about her opportunity to make a positive impact and drive a premier employee-owner experience. “I’m excited for the opportunity to build our new human resources system from scratch. Getting a direct hand in developing a program that will ultimately help us continue to deliver rewarding experiences is definitely something I’m looking forward to. I’m highly motivated by continuous improvement, and I can’t wait to dive into employee-ownership and the ESS culture,” stated Jessica.
