So, you never quite outgrew playing in the dirt? We can relate. An earthwork foreman, also known as a grading foreman, monitors and supervises the excavation phase of a construction project. Grading foremen inspect work progress, solve arising problems, maintain quality work records and oversee maintenance of equipment and machinery. Ensuring the job completes on schedule and in accordance with the specifications is a must.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR:

  • You’re knowledgeable in all things dirt including excavation, grade work, surveying, and final excavation work.
  • If the equipment is heavy, you’ve operated it.
  • You’re a self-starter and are able to work under limited supervision.
  • Safety is your number one priority, with a focus on quality and production.
  • Coordination is your middle name, and you easily coordinate between other crews, subs and vendors.
  • You are familiar with GPS equipment and staking and checking grade.

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
  • Field Supervisor Academy
  • ESS Apprenticeship Program
  • Excavation Competent Person Training
