New interchange with Highway 63 and Gans Road with new bridge over Highway 63.
Project Features
- Under contract with MoDOT, Emery Sapp & Sons Inc is constructing a new diamond interchange with ramps and connecting streets. ESS is performing all site grading, implementation of storm water systems and features, construction of the 5 lane 200 ft steel girder bridge structure and construction of the concrete streets and sidewalks.
- On one side of US 63 is "Discovery Ridge", a 114-acre research park created by the University of Missouri and expected to provide 1,500 jobs. and on the other is a 250 acre private development, "The Village at Discovery Ridge" that will contain 800,000 square feet of retail space, 400,000 square feet of office space, and over 400 residential dwelling units. By separate agreement with the developers of the Village at Discovery Ridge and with approvals by MoDOT, ESS is adding enhancements to the interchange project to improve aesthetics for the private development. These include more attractive lighting fixtures, pedestrian amenities, sidewalk features, traffic roundabouts and more extensive landscaping.
